CSX 3127 on the New Orleans Terminal – August 13, 1991
Florida Avenue parallels the NS New Orleans Terminal mainline for a distance of about eight blocks between Elysian Fields and North Broad Street where the London Avenue Canal Pumping Station is located.
This video shows a westbound (timetable southbound) train with six CSX locomotives in various paint schemes easing onto the NS. This train would have come off the CSX at L&N Junction which is located just east of Elysian Fields. Power is B23-7 3127, GP38-2 2667, SD40-2 8232, SD40 8321, SD40 8445, and GP38-2 2563.
A classic Southern-style cantilever signal bridge can be seen at Frenchmen Street. On the far main is a cut of cars being shoved by NS GP38-2 5053.

CSXT 6232 West Departs Avondale – August 24, 1991
A great consist of five CSX GP40 type locomotives departs Avondale westbound after Amtrak train No. 1 has passed. Note the Rio Grande logo on the Southern Pacific sign!
We see the conductor line the switch onto the main line and then board the train in motion. It looks like the missing crossing gate doesn’t concern the crew too much…
The power consists of four former B&O GP40-2’s and a former SCL GP40: CSXT 6232 (Ex B&O 4333), CSXT 6131 (Ex B&O 4232), CSXT 6102 (Ex B&O 4203), CSXT 6744 (Ex SCL 1589), and CSXT 6003 (Ex B&O 4102).
