MCRR Locomotive Roster
The Mississippi Central in this realm is a fictional Illinois Central regional spinoff with a handful of scheduled freights, locals, and switchers. The startup date of this proto-freelanced regional is November 6, 1986. By 1990 all of the locomotives acquired and made operational during startup were painted in a unique IC-inspired brown, orange, and yellow.
This railroad is a compliment to the Yazoo and Mississippi Valley in this proto-freelanced Meridian Speedway story in which most of the historical Y&MV trackage was still in existence and sold by the Illinois Central as two regional startup railroads. In short the new Y&MV is all of the trackage south of Vicksburg to the Gulf of Mexico and the MCRR has all of the trackage north of Vicksburg to Memphis.
The roster is a made up primarily of second-hand Alco and GE locomotives.
