Meridian Speedway Power on the NS Asheville District

Fresh from the BradleyDCC shop in Indiana, T&GN C40-8 3149 and NT&O C44-9W 1065 were shipped directly to Josh Clark in North Carolina to star in a video operating session on Josh and his father's impressive HO scale NS Asheville District model railroad.

Part I begins with both locomotives powering an empty coal train which originated on the Y&MV at Natchez, MS.  A number of run-bys are shot hi-lighting the working signals on the railroad.   The power is removed and taken to the diesel shop for servicing and an additional locomotive is added to the consist for the trip back to home rails on a loaded coal train.  Next NS power, including the Interstate Heritage Unit, is added to the empty coal train for movement to the coal mine.  This video ends with the train being loaded at an actual working coal loader!

Part II begins with the loaded coal train returning to the yard and another power swap with the Meridian Speedway power plus an NS unit powering the train.  Three NS helper locomotives are added to the rear of the train for the push up-hill.  The helpers are removed at the top and the train continues on its journey.  This train is now destined for Mexico and will operate all the way to the western end of the Natchez Trace and Orient Railway at Presidio, TX.

BradleyDCC Shop Videos

One of the locations where Meridian Speedway power is shopped is at BradleyDCC in Anderson, Indiana.  The primary work done here is the installation of Sound Decoders and Speakers as well as the conversion of all lights to LEDs and the installation of LED ditch lights on locomotives not already so equipped.  Upon completion, the shop owner Arthur Bradley takes a video of the completed locomotives and posts them on his website as well as on his YouTube channel.  These "Builder's Videos" can be seen below in this section of my library.

IC SD70 1021 and IC SD70 1025 Debut

It has been awhile since I uploaded a model railroad video to YouTube.  Recently my new IC SD70s were delivered to Greg McComas' Michigan Interstate (MCIS) for a test run.  The locomotives performed very well!

This break-in run was recorded for YouTube upload.  I decided to immerse the viewer with the sights and sounds of these models, so I chose a random montage format with multiple runby scenes.  The video is linked below:
