Video taken on a road trip from New Orleans to Monroe, LA to ride an NRHS Excursion Train on the A&LM.  Videoed from November 6-8, 1992, this work gives a glimpse into the long-gone sights and sounds along the railroad that would someday be purchased by the KCS and upgraded to Class I standards and dubbed the "Meridian Speedway".  Many thanks to Mr. S. Russell Tedder who made this trip on the A&LM between Monroe, LA and Crossett, AR possible.

Four MidSouth geeps are seen departing the MidSouth Freight Yard diesel facility for their train, likely westbound Meridian-Shreveport MS-3.  We then view the train departing from the Fairground Street overpass and then again at Lee Street.  The final view shows the train making its way across the massive Mississippi River Bridge.
