Freight Car Cataloging Continues

300 Car Mark Reached

One of many, many projects in motion is the cataloging of my HO scale freight car fleet.  I am methodically going through them, entering each one both on an Excel spreadsheet as well as in the Freight Car Index on this site.  The Excel spreadsheet tells me that I am now at 300 cars....

As I refine the process, I have added a few steps.  I am now taking the time to unpack and photograph all of the cars as I go along.  On each of the header sections of the individual Letter Pages I am creating slideshows of cars whose reporting marks begin with the respective letter for the page.  I think this makes the database a little more interesting to the visitor and allows the long-packed equipment to be viewed.

It is interesting to come across cars I forgot I had!
